Maxnet is locally owned and operated Internet
Service Provider. Maxnet currently services Muswellbrook, Scone, Aberdeen,
Denman and surrounding areas.
Maxnet prides itself on providing low-cost
Internet access at a decent speed. FREE in-home set-up and no excess download
limits or charges.
One of Maxnet's main priorities is to keep a
focus on the local community by providing local non-profit organizations with
web sites and Internet Access, so that they may provide the local community with
up-to-date information on sporting events, etc.
Our Experience
Our
staff have over 20yrs combined in the Retail and Customer Service industry and over 15yrs
combined in the Computer industry and over 10yrs combined in the Internet and it's technologies.
This speaks enough for itself. The fact that we live in the local area and know
the community is an added bonus.
Brief History
2000
May
Maxnet opens for business in May 2000. With only 2 computers and 8
modems.
August
Added more phone lines and modems.
November
4 new servers, Cisco Routers and more lines/modems.
December
12 servers, 40 modems, Cisco Routers and 2 high speed links into Telstra's
Internet BackBone.
2001
February
Planning starts for a Major upgrade/expansion due March 2001.
March
Purchase of 2 Remote Access Unit's to increase our
dial-in line capacity. Upgrade to our core Router to increase bandwidth
capacity.
May
Increase
our Bandwidth to the Internet.
Introduce
$25/month Internet Access Plan.
Maxnet
turns 1 year old on the 19th.
July
Changed one of our bandwidth suppliers, half our
traffic travels via the Southern Cross Cable.
August
Planning starts for yet another upgrade - more
lines, new modem server that will handle the new V92 standard once released.
October
Installation of Fibre Optic Cable. New modem server
Installed. New automated Billing software.
December
2002
February
Testing of a new access solutions to compete with
ADSL.
May
Maxnet
turns 2 years old 19th.
Replaced
Proxy2 and add more Bandwidth.
